This is a best film of the year. Beautiful, poignant and touching. It requires sheer guts to produce such kind of film without getting bogged down by commercial trappings. Screenplay is to the point and director Vikramaditya Motwane succeeds as a fine storyteller. The strength of UDAAN lies in its writing as it never gets preachy. UDAAN gives a message of following your dreams & how parents should not impose their own wishes/thoughts on their children. However, not in a single scene director preaches and still strongly makes the point. Performances by all the cast members are amazing. They just fit in their respective characters. Special mention has to be made of Rajat Barmecha as Rohan & Aayan Boradia as Arjun. Music by Amit Trivedi goes well with mood & treatment of the film. Very good one.
