Just watched some video of speech by noted Marathi actor “Sachin Khedekar”. In this video Mr. Khedekar particularly says that these days whatever is comic in tone is worshiped and if somebody tries to put forth any point in serious manner then it is labeled as heavy duty stuff. Is “The Hurt Locker” an action war film? For me the answer is “NO”. It is surely not an out an out adrenaline action film. In simple words, “The Hurt Locker” is a story of a soldier working for US Army in Iraq and doing his job. Of course, Hurt Locker shows life of soldiers posted in Iraq. However, film is not about just war and it is about treating soldier’s work as a routine job. The Hurt Locker follows protagonist “William James”. William James is a member of “United States Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)”. He is a veteran when it comes to disposing the bombs and it has been shown that he has disarmed 873 bombs.
